VISCOPAN GRIGIO is an adhesive and skim coat suitable for installing external thermal insulation systems; it can be used both as an adhesive to secure insulation panels to masonry and as an exterior skim coat. It is a premixed, single-component cementitious mortar that can be applied by hand, with a particle size of up to 0.6 mm. When mixed with water, it becomes a mortar with low viscosity—making it easy to work with—high thixotropy, and excellent adhesion to materials commonly used in construction. FOR PROFESSIONAL USE
Suitable for applying thermal insulation panels—such as expanded or extruded polystyrene, mineral fibers, cork, wood-cement, and natural fibers—both indoors and outdoors on substrates such as traditional plaster, concrete, brick masonry, natural stone, mineral paints, or old water-based paints. Ideal for the final skimming of insulation panels after applying EUROMESH fiber mesh to them. Suitable for skimming and finishing (residential-grade) concrete walls and cement-based plasters prior to painting. Can be used to smooth walls, including existing paint finishes—such as washable acrylics, quartz-based paints, and plastic coatings—provided they are clean, sound, and well-adhered. Smoothing of drywall panels after applying PRIMER GES; also suitable for tile adhesion.
Mix the contents of one bag (25 kg), preferably with a mechanical mixer, into 5.75–6 liters of clean water until a homogeneous, lump-free mortar is obtained. To optimize its application properties, it is recommended to let the mixture rest for about 5 minutes and stir it briefly before use.
