MONOCALCE is a base coat plaster for exterior and interior walls, in both new and historic buildings, composed of hydraulic lime and selected limestone aggregates with a maximum particle size of 1.4 mm. MONOCALCE is a base coat plaster that can be applied by machine or by hand; the breathability of natural hydraulic lime is ideal for eliminating cold spots and, consequently, the formation of condensation and mold.
When used as a base coat, MONOCALCE can be applied by machine or by hand to brick and stone masonry, both old and new. It is particularly suitable for the restoration of historic buildings and deteriorated plaster where the use of a natural hydraulic lime-based plaster is required.
When using a plastering machine: adjust the amount of water to obtain a mortar suitable for application—consistent and workable (approximately 5 liters of water per 25 kg of powder). If applying by hand, it is recommended to mix the mortar in a concrete mixer or with a slow-speed mixer for 3 minutes (the use of a drill or whisk is not recommended).
