MARMOELITE is a professional, single-component, white adhesive based on Portland cement, composed of aggregates with a selected particle size distribution and specific additives blended in a constant ratio, resulting in a mortar with high workability, adhesion, and ease of application.
The use of a blend of fast-setting hydraulic binders with a high hydraulicity index binds the mixing water, preventing the formation of stains on marble surfaces.
MARMOELITE, thanks to its adhesive properties and high content of synthetic resins—which allow for rapid setting and curing—is suitable for high-strength installations, including over existing surfaces and up to 10 mm in thickness, on floors and walls, for marble, granite, natural stone, and resin- or cement-based composite materials. Substrates may include: cement and mixed-mortar plasters, cement screeds, existing glazed tile floors and wall coverings, resin and cement tiles, stoneware, cement-based waterproofing, concrete block walls, and heated floors.
Do not use: on gypsum-based plasters and anhydrite screeds without using PRIMER GES, or with resin- or cement-based composite materials subject to significant and sudden movements due to thermal expansion, warping, or the formation of stains from water absorption.
Pour the correct amount of water (6–7 liters) into a clean container and slowly add the powder (25 kg), mixing with an electric drill fitted with a mixing paddle until a smooth, lump-free mixture is obtained. Let the mixture rest for at least 5 minutes and stir briefly for a few seconds before application. The amount of water indicated on the package is approximate. It is possible to obtain mixtures with a more or less thixotropic consistency depending on the application. Adding excess water does not improve the quality of the adhesive but can cause a loss of thickness during the plastic phase of drying and reduce final performance characteristics, such as compressive strength, shear strength, and adhesion.
